世界的にも有名で高額なアコヤ真珠は海で養殖されるのに対し、淡水パールは川や湖で養殖されます。
アコヤ真珠は貝1つにつき1つの真珠しか採ることが出来ませんが、
淡水パールに使われる母貝は、母貝が大きい事から、１つの貝から複数の真珠を養殖することが可能です。
これにより、淡水パールはリーズナブルに綺麗な輝きのアクセサリーを楽しむことができるのです。
